With 128hp at 8750rpm, 115Nm of torque at 6000rpm and a dry weight of only 178kg BMW intends to enter the HP2 Sport in the World Superbike Championship in 2009. BMW's boxer engine gains a dual overhead cam and is the power-plant for the new BMW HP2 Sport.
